One to two weeks before
Pack items you rarely use. Label each box with its room and a short contents list. Confirm parking and any building-management requirements.
- Arrange address updates and mail redirection
- Confirm key collection and handover times
- Keep important documents together
- Plan care for children and pets
The day before and moving day
Prepare an essentials bag with medication, chargers, toiletries and a change of clothes. Photograph meter readings, check cupboards and keep keys accessible. Walk through both properties with the team and note any concerns promptly.
After the move
Check that everything has arrived, prioritise beds and essential rooms, and update remaining accounts. Reuse or recycle your packing materials.
